WEEK 3: Learning West Coast Swing as a beginner is an exciting introduction to this smooth, versatile dance. You'll start by mastering the basic step patterns, focusing on timing, rhythm, and developing a strong connection with your partner. As you gain confidence, you'll begin to explore simple turns, syncopated footwork, and the distinctive "elastic" connection that defines West Coast Swing. The dance is adaptable to a wide range of music, and as you progress, you’ll learn how to improvise and add your personal style. With its smooth flow and creative freedom, West Coast Swing is a fun and accessible dance for beginners looking to enjoy both structure and self-expression.
